tennis camp and
weekly programs

Our program has two unique training sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The morning session includes two hours of stroke production and technique development. The focus of the afternoon session is point development and match play. The students will have one hour of on and off-court conditioning and weight training three times per week. Our method of two training sessions per day will allow the student to assimilate the instruction effectively.

Our high-performance Academy has a track record of helping players reach their potential. In addition to academy training, players will be given a chance to train with the best players and engage in match-play, conditioning, mental training, video analysis, and player analysis.

advantages

ENHANCED STROKE
PRODUCTION

We use a proven 6-step method to establish sound fundamentals in the golf swing. With our biomechanics background, we focus on teaching the student how to properly use their body to build a motion that will last you a lifetime.

ON COURSE COGNTIVE
STRATEGY

We have the ability to play on the course 5 days a week. This allows us to focus more on the art of golf and scoring. We focus on, course strategy, mental routines, shot making, decision making, and situational shot selection.

DRILLS

We emphasize continual development in each student. Each student is given a personal technique plan or drill card. Drill cards outline specific technique goals along with personalized drills for each goal. This helps the students stay on track in their development.

COMPETITION

We are one of a few academies that focus on daily competition. We compete on the course against other students five days a week. We are fortunate enough to play 18 holes every Saturday with organized competition. This allows our students to develop their competitive edge further, create a comfort zone in competition, and sharpen their skills under pressure.

PEAK PERFORMANCE
TRAINING

Our systematic approach includes all performance fundamentals, including endurance, strength, power, speed, balance, coordination, agility, flexibility, mobility, and nutrition.

PERFORMANCE
EVALUATION

Whether it is technique goals, tournament, or mental goals all students are evaluated on a daily, weekly, and monthly progression. This includes constant video analysis, Pre and post-mental tournament preparation, pre-tournament reports, and post-tournament statistics and evaluations. We provide a structured environment for all students to reach their goals and measure their progress.

FAQ

In addition to our Full-time Golf Academy, we offer Short-Time Programs (6 weeks or less), Holiday, Winter and Summer Camps.

Our full-time program follows the school calendar and goes from August to May.

Students practice with RPS Golf Academy coaches days week.

Students go to golf fitness training days week. Mach Speed Training is also included.

When you become a full- time golf academy student/athlete you’ll also become a junior member at the private Jack Nicklaus Santa Lucia River Club. SLRC is where all our on-course training happens.

All the golf practice facilities are located within the Sandpiper Bay Resort where the academy is located. The private Jack Nicklaus designed golf course at the Santa Lucia River Club is located within walking distance of the front gate of the resort and is where we do our on-course training.

The competition schedule really depends on each student’s development level, but in general it’s about 2 tournament per month.

Weekly camps consist of 3 hours of golf training in the morning followed by 9 holes of golf in the afternoon. Camp also includes 3 hours of golf fitness per week.

Check-in is on Sunday afternoon and check-out is Saturday morning.

Recruiting assistance is provided by RPS Golf Academy golf recruiting consultant Michael Smith from ForeCollegeGolf.  Their mission is to help junior golfers and their families as they navigate the college recruiting landscape.
